This presentation discusses the development of online learning environments that contain both traditional asynchronous and emerging synchronous pedagogy to support student learning. Web 2.0 applications, user-generated media, and voice over IP (VOIP), instant messaging (IM), and real time video are a few of the technologies that courses designers and instructors may leverage to create a variety of experiences to support student learning.
